well there goes my thanksgiving....my bf is now refusing to come to my side get together. I understand he feels awkward since he's the only person of color and my family lifestyle is very conservative (opposite of his and us)....they are very welcoming with him tho I just don't understand he won't tell me why he can't just suck it up and come! I'm so frustrated and hurt he can't do this for me and his daughter 😭😠💔 very big eye opener for me tho. holidays and tradition are huge for me and if he can't do it then there will be no future for us. AT ALL!

My fiance refuses to go to my grandparents house. It was like pulling teeth just getting him to talk to my brother. & guess what when he did he found out he has a lot more in common with him then he thought. they just need to take the risks for us.

girl it's been 2 years for me & he still will not come to my grandparents house cause he gets "shy" he's not even shy he just puts up a front. & I hate because he acts like I'm taking somewhere where he would be out of place we are of the same race soo like idk what his problem is. I could understand if he was a different race but he's not & even then I would make his ass go just like I made him talk to my brother the only reason he talked to him is because my brother is staying with us so he has no choice. otherwise he wouldn't talk to my brother still to this day 😔

@mdomke22, In going through the same thing. I just gave up holidays mean alot to me and if he wants to segregate I'll let him I'm not gonna keep crying about it

well I don't even kno if race is the problem he literally will not give me a specific reason. all he says is I don't want to. so I don't have to. @megan @bellamama09 yea my parents just want him to come around more and it is just frustrating. like I feel it's really disrespectful...
