my mil is the same way. she is pissed at me because my husband has a restraining order against his sister (her eldest. for assaulting him with a 2x4 and threatening to kill us both) and has barely spoken a word to me since june, but now shes trying to be buddy buddy with me because im due not this friday, but next.

People these days need to get over themselves. She's mad because she didn't get to know me before he married me. And then her kids were causing problems with me, so she took their side and didn't ever let me explain. She thinks I'm trying to keep my husband from his family, I can't help that he wants nothing to do with them. It was his choice to not tell his mother he was having a baby, not mine. and I get blamed for it. It's getting old..

You are right to stand up for yourself because she can't push you around... And she is brain dead if she thinks you will leave and let her see her grandkid without you there... I really hope you work it out!! I have my own issues with my mil but she knows I am boss and we have a mutual agreement because my boyfriend has a hard time dealing with things and I don't want to add to his stress levels.
