My first born had to go to Nicu.. A few minutes after he was born!

Why does the baby need to go to the nicu? My first daughter was a preemie 29 wks, she stayed in the hospital for 3mths until she was almost 5lbs, they were awesome some hospitals have suites that you can rent or for free that you can stay in, instead of traveling back and forth

my youngest nephew was in the nicu for about a week and a half. they thought hed have to be on there for 6 weeks. he was six weeks early. it was really hard on my sister in law because she didnt get to hold him until he was a few days old (she had complications and had to stay in another hospital) it was really tough, but its worth every second because then you get to bring that baby home healthy and strong.

they dont know exactly like im not having complications.. they wanna see if she might need surgery but im like i prefer it not to happen fresh out the womb isnt that dangerous? its a waiting game ubtik shes born since she's too big to see anything @kaylhunt2 @mrssabby

My first son was in there it's hard but ur allowed to stay I just kept praying

@dec7saggirl, if she had to have surgery out of the womb leg them do it then don't wait, because she will be a growing girl and things change as they grow, but you all will be fine, no worries, majority of the nicus, the nurses and docs are a special breed and they are there because they love what they do, not the money😉

And he had surgery the next day it went well I'll pray for yall 🙏

@dec7saggirl, is it hydrocephalus if so yeah don't worry let them do it ASAP she will be just fine if they need to do it and they will make her comfortable the good thing is she won't remember any of it, I will pray for you baby girl but you and baby will be okay 😉

Yes honey it's okay baby will be fine, I used to work for the pandA here in Michigan it's the pediatric and infant nicu and micu, there was a team of 2nurses and 2emts and I loved it, some days I would cry my heart out, but I learned so much, sad to say once I graduated from paramedic school I had to switch jobs 😕 but baby will be fine and so will you😉
