Anyone's doctor ever recommend Unisom for nausea? Wondering if I should try it or preggy pops.

I was prescribed BNatal ... (same as preggy pops) they help me a lot . I like the sour apple kind

Unisome is a sleep medication, safe for pregnancy. Not for nausea...?

@iisavana, that's what I said. But apparently it's used for nausea.

Ginger root from produce ground up in a drink helps..

@iisavana, She recommended ginger lollipops. But I am not sure if I could handle the flavor.

Unisom with b6 is good, it's the equivalent to a prescription med for nausea & vomitting called diclegis.

Also just note it takes about a week or so to build up in your system and really be effective

I have hyperemisis & belong to an excellent support group. So many moms have had great luck with it. I also tried the ginger for a while, I used ginger tablets in addition to zofran but that just didn't cut it for me. I'm now on zofran, phenergan & an acid reflux med (ranitidine but it's being switched to something stronger tomorrow as it's not working).

@christineann, My OB sent in a prescription for an acid reflux medicine. Along with the other 3 things. I've never really tried anything but sipping on 7up and that helps take the edge off.

Oh man well i hope you find some relief!! I can't stand anything but sipping cherry coke, not exactly the healthiest thing ever but it's the best I can do. Let me know how things go for you.
