i have spina bifida ..its a neural tube defect, which affects the spine and since thats where the epidural shot goes and if i get the shot it can complicate things so i cant get the epidural @firefly

ugh scarey! I have a back issue also but not that sever. Did they send you to a anisetgialogist? totally spelt that wrong. But I have apt to see one.

I did some other research also there are other medications you can take. Besides going under, that they put in a iv it's not the same as a epidural but it's better then being forced into a c section

not yet he said that further on we can schedule an appointment to meet with an anasthesiologist and talk about it but he did mention there were other medication he could put in the iv to help with the pain. soo maybe there is another way at least i hope so. only time will tell. im only 12weeks

same here as i get further along ima talk to my doctor and the anasthesiologist and get their opinions on things but in the end ill just have to do whats best for my baby and myself :) @makeartnotwarr69
