I used to speak Spanish to everyone I knew who spoke it. I was determined. Speaking and making mistakes is the only way you can get better with speaking :)

You will be embarrassed. The sooner you accept it, the easier it will be to practice with people. There were a few people who laughed when I got things wrong and sometimes I even laughed at myself when I learned what was right, but it is what it is when you are learning a new language. Think of babies. When they learn one language it's a very similar process. I found a lot of helpful people too though while I opened up and just practiced with so many. :)
