I think the Mirena really work 4 me when I had my 2 I put it in and took it out when he was 5 and some months got pregnant in February I'm due in November and my son turn 6 in September so I think is great

and they have a 10y one It freak me out having something inside me 4 so long so I went with the 5y one

I agree I had the mirena and it was great for me too. They have a new IUD thats for 3 yrs now too.. I got Pregnant with my first daughter while on the depo shot. So I dont trust it..

thanks ill look more into that but yea I used to be on the depo and did not like it at all it made my hormomes crazy

the idea behind the mirena is great, but I definitely have mixed feelings on it. one friend got pregnant while using it, and the other had issues with the hormones in it. I dont do too well on hormonal birth controls because it kills my sex drive (which I guess is one form of birth control, but kinda defeats the purpose.) I'll probably be looking into the copper implant after LO is here.

I knew 2 girls with the iud and both ended up pregnant and miscarried really scared me. so I took depo and gained 20 lbs nd sex drive was lame I heard implanon is good and last for years people gain some but girls I know haven't so ima try that one
