So here's my labor story (sorry it's long). Okay. So Wednesday afternoon I had a doctors appointment that was originally scheduled for Friday (today) but ended up agreeing to reschedule so I went and saw my doc Wednesday, October 15. She swept my membranes and I was already dilated 1cm. I left there around 3, went walking at the mall, shopping centers, baby's r us then finally headed home around 6. Got home and went for a walk then relaxed the rest of the night with my boyfriend. Around 12:30am, October 16, I woke up to my bloody show. Kinda freaked out and started to have contractions that lasted 7-10 mins apart. Went to the ER, sent me home because I didn't dilate past the 1cm I already was so I was bummed. Got home around 7am, slept on and off till 4pm constantly having contractions. Went for an hour walk around 6pm and my contractions started to get 4-6 mins apart. Around 8pm we took off to the hospital again. Got there, already dilated to a 2 so they put me in a room and I continued to dilate to 3 1/2. Contractions were so intense but was making no progress so I got the epidural around 3am, October 17, and was able to sleep till 7am. They broke my water and started pitocin at 7am, still a 3 1/2 at this point. Nurse came in at 9am to check, I was already 6cm. She gave me another dose of my epidural but it wore off. 30 min later I'm feeling the urge to push and turns out I'm already 10cm. 10:10am I was holding my beautiful little girl in my arms weighing 7lbs 1oz, measuring 20cm! This day has been THE best day of my life. ❤️
