think I spoke to soon idk yet no really don't feel like going to the ER :(
posted earlier about the werid taste in my mouth...
a mother posted it might be TRUSH, I thought it wasn't but I also didnt inspect my mouth.
another mother posted it might be my ph level. I kno my ph is off already due to a previous trip to the ER
I was on google (I'm a google FANATIC)
but anyways I was on google nd I was looking up the ph level thing, but a lot of moms say they get a METALLIC taste. Mines is not metallic, more like a sour idk unexplainable taste. Kind of like i sleep with mouth open now it dried out taste, but it's all day everyday no matter how much I brush ect.
Anyway I was still stuck on the PH level thing n I seen a lot of moms said baking spas worked. I didn't have baking soda, but I have toothpaste w/ baking soda. So I scrubbed my tongue with that, it was some white stuff on my tongue, but not with a cottage cheese texture. But upon further inspection of my mouth, the back of my tongue, like all the way in the back (you can't see it if u say ahhhh, but u can if you stick something in it to push my tongue down) it's little cluster of bumps, there also on the side. In the amount of time it took me to write this post and ask a neighbor, the vile taste has returned. :( :( :(
any suggestions ER, Thrush, Am I bugging out, could it wait til the a.m. so I can just see my GP as a walk in.
(I live in an Urban area, the ER is the WORST)

As long as it's not making you sick or you don't have a fever, it could wait til morning. I had that in the beginning too, it was just from too much tums though. Yours can be from too much of a base (like milk)

I have taking tums for my heart burn nd acid reflux. Plus quite a few things with mayonnaise. I will still keep an eye on it tho.

You're welcome. I couldn't stand that taste so I just started taking Prilosec otc instead of tums

I agree this can wait for a regular dr visit unless you have a high fever. I've personally had thrush, it's an overgrowth of fungus. Babies can get it from breast feeding or dirty bottle nipples too. Probiotics help, I got it from antibiotics. They will give you a liquid med to help. It's so annoying to have but can wait for your dr, so much terrible sickness going into the ER that it may be best to stay away. Maybe you can call the after hours line of your dr and speak to someone to put your mind at ease? The only other thing I could think of that causes white spots in the throat is strep but your description really sounds like thrush.

tastebuds also tend to get swollen in the.back while pregnant no worries tho

I've had strep multiple times before, it definitely itsnt that. can it be thrush even if it doesn't hurt, my throat was sore a few days ago but I thought I was getting a cold. @christineann c

sounds like thrush. they can fix that with two pills of antibiotics. :)

how far along are you. I got that taste the first few weeks Into my pregnancy and I was told it was my hormones and it wasn't a metallic taste it was a sour taste and nothing seemed to get rid of it unless I was eating.

@kismet_carri, oh yes. Thrush didn't really hurt for me, just a very annoying feeling. Kind of hard to explain really.
