Had an ultrasound on Wednesday (ITS A BOY!). Due date was changed was once again to December 9, so that makes me 27wks, 2 days instead of 28wks, 1 day. I was told my cervix is shortening, its about half the size of what it should be. This makes me extremely nervous because if my cervix continues to shorten, I can go into premature labor and I can deliver before my due date. So, I had to go get a steroid shot today and I must get another one tomorrow to boost my baby's lungs just in case he's arrives early. They want to keep him in there as long far as 34 weeks or longer. I'm being montiored closely and have another ultrasound appt next week to see if my cervix will continue to shorten or stay the same. I've been having lots of pressure on my hips and some mild cramping, didn't think nothing of it. I'm not really sure what contractions feel like, this is my first baby. I do go on walks in the afternoons, but through out the day I'm mostly just laying around the house, not sure whats causing the shortening of my cervix. Anyone care to comment? Any mommies going through what I'm going through? Please share!

Rest rest rest!!! ❤️ nothing does the body better than relaxing and taking it easy. I didn't have my cervix shorten but I did have a lot of bleeding in my first trimester (baby was/is totally fine and healthy) and I quit my job and just stayed in bed as much as possible for a few weeks. No one knew what was causing the bleeding either, but after that rest period it never came back and I carried to full term (now 2 days over lol). Take a bath, catch up on netflix, and as soon as you can say "baby" there will be one in your arms. 😁

you have the same due date as me my little girl is due dec 9th and giving me a hard time i just lost my mucus plug the other day but she seems to be fine.
