@lee0924 I'm almost 20, and I was terrified about labor early on, that was my biggest worry, but I realized it has to happen regardless of what I want so I tried to learn about all types of labor methods to educate myself on what I could do to help with it. Labor is painful and uncomfortable, I'm not going to lie, but I had great support and I got and epidural (It helped so much, but you may not want to use medicine in labor) it took about 2 and a half hours of pushing to get here, it's exhausting, and I hadn't slept when I should of rested and it made it difficult, so definitely rest when you can, I had to have the vacuum at the end, but only for one push with minimal effort, and it was because I got too exhausted, so rest is a must, I had some tearing, second degree, it's manageable, but labor will leave you sore all over. It's A LOT of work, and is uncomfortable and painful, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I think the thoughts of it is worse the actually labor, go in there thinking it's gonna be awful and miserable, you won't be able to try to enjoy it, it is something you can enjoy regardless of pain, because of the excitement of the baby coming and the bonding with you and the people/person you have there, it's hard, but fantastic. I know this is a very confusing explanation, I can't describe it very well, all I can say for sure is it is hard work, scary, and tired, but I'd do it again if I could at anytime. Do your research on different methods of laboring, and the opinions of moms who's done it, there are a lot of blogs on VBAC birth and women who did natural and medicated births, research can ease your mind and help you find peace in it. I hope this helps even a little bit.
