Во сколько лет вы начали показывать детям мультфильмы Disney и Pixar?

At what age did you start letting your kids watch Disney movies? Like the traditional princess cartoons( Cinderella, beauty and the mulan, moana, etc) and maybe even the pixar ones the toy story, finding nemo, or the incredibles, etc??

A friend of mine has a 3.5 year old that loves Belle (pretty sure it's mom that loves her) and hasn't seen any movies. My friend says they're too scary with the villian scenes and what not. With my oldest I honestly didn't give it second thought, she never had an crazy nightmares or was traumatized. I'm cautious about what my little watches but she has been exposed to Disney movies. She mainly doesn't have the attention span to sit through and watch to the "scary" parts yet.

To me even if it is scary expose the child to it as they seem interested. Fast forward or turn it off if it's too much but it teaches them to feel something other than happy or sad....but maybe I'm wrong and exposing my kids too damn early to these movies.

My son would never sit long enough to watch a movie until after he turned 4. My daughter now doesn't sit to watch a movie. We watch everything here. We just watched An American Tail. We've watched how to train your dragon, we've watched aristocats, Moana, frozen. I just put on homeward bound for him because I wanted to see how he'd do with movies not animated. And we just watched the first sonic movie. He will not watch nightmare before christmas (too scary), but he watched the original care bears movie 🙄 and the original my little pony movie. That care bears movie was so creepy, lol.

My daughter was pretty sensitive to the darker villain scenes. I tried a few when she was about 3-4 and she wasn't into it at all and I could tell it upset her, then again around 6-7 and it was fine. Most kids I doubt it would bother them. She's the 12 year old who goes in and sets her own content restrictions to strict before I even get a chance to.

I totally get every kid is different. My oldest was hesitant about villain scenes until she was in first grade. I'm just so mystified that she hasn't even exposed her daughter to these things. I just don't think it's healthy to be super protective like that. She's a mom friend so I didn't say anything but I'm like damn girl you can't shelter her forever

I believe around 1-2 years old, but they really didn’t start watching it until like 3-4 years old their attention span wasn’t very long. But I never recall them finding any of them scary.

It’s different for all my kids.

K has a really hard time with movies, he feels the music deeply and has a hard time with the intense emotions. We noticed this with commercials when he was under a year old so we’ve been very mindful about what he watches and haven’t exposed him to many of the older Disney movies.

Little Man doesn’t seem as phased by scary things so we’ve let him watch (age appropriate) movies at a young age than we let K.

Girlfriend has zero attention span for anything age appropriate but loves to watch whatever her brothers are watching. Which is usually Captain Underpants, Pokemon or Spider-Man.

See the fact that your oldest was exposed to something and then you picked up on cues and then made the decision. My oldest like yours would make me skip certain scenes or avoid certain movies but she would eventually learn to navigate it on her own. My youngest (about 9 months younger than her friend) watched Mulan the other day and didn't blink at the scene when all the men were lying dead. I panicked a little and told her sister to fast forward but then realized she was fine ...I would have never known this unless she was actually exposed. Like my friend has no clue her daughter's abilities because she doesn't expose her. It's so weird to me made me second guess myself over here.

Mine have watched since they were babies. When my oldest was 9 -10 months old he was obsessed with the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. He loved the music.
