Gentle moms how would you handle a 11yr old with serious behavior issues. Always mad, Talking back, argumentative, mean to sibling, issues at school ?????
@mom2godzillaandwonkypets @icebergahead Yes there has been some bullies this year
Have you taken the 11 year old out and did something one and one and just talked together openly. Bullies at school are awful and definitely can be the causes of everything going on. Finding a way for the 11 year old to open up to you or a safe adult may help
@mom2godzillaandwonkypets Thank you for your advice. I forgot about the bullies he hasn't mentioned it in awhile. I do Bible studies with them and that's when I will ask is there anything you need to tell me you know you can tell me anything I will never get mad at you I will help you and they say everything is fine but I will definitely have a one on one with him ❤️
@annjackson yeah maybe one on one...maybe go for a walk just the two of you and talk. Maybe it's hard to talk in front of other people.
Gotta do some digging and see where all of these behaviors are brewing from. There is more than what is visible on the surface, and go from there. Usually change, abuse from peers etc, bullying, stress (because kids do have stresses unlike what we were told) plus hormones are outta wack during the preteen/teen stages and things along those lines.
Have you talked to the child. Has anything drastic changed in home life. Has anything happened at school. 11 is hard. Hormones are going crazy on top of school, peers and home. Is mental health the reason. But I agree if all the other ways have been worked through then grounding, tv devices everything and take time to reconnect with each other.
