Today I celebrated my moms life. We didn’t have a traditional service, because I had her cremated prior but I tried to make it as beautiful as I could. My mom wasn’t a big fan of flowers. She loved the color blue and she liked roses. I set her table up the way I think she would have loved. we had a projector that played the song selection and a slide show of her pictures and we blew up a picture and had that on the side as well. Her service was beautiful and a few people even got saved and my sister and her family have decided to join the church. My mom and I have been a part of this church for about 15 years. My moms death has been the hardest thing Ive ever had to deal with. I never thought I’d be in my 30s without parents. I feel alone in this world, but I know Im not because she will live forever in my heart. My mom was the kindest person I knew, also the most sarcastic. She definitely gave me this sense of humor I have. My mom always told me I was the strongest person she knew, but she was the strongest person Ive ever met. She endured a lot of things and She really pushed through. She gave this life all she could and I know she had some really enjoyable times and had many laughs in her short 61 years of life. Please hold your parents tight, give them lots of love and tell them you love them. A death of a parent is so heart shattering and I don’t want anyone to regret the things I do.
