I’m asking because since they were born I have always been home for the whole week of Christmas Eve up until New Year’s Day

We always let them open 1 gift Christmas Eve. It's usually a movie box with new pajamas. ♥️

I always let my kids open one gift on Christmas Eve and it’s always Pjs. This is a great idea!

Christmas Eve was always my brothers birthday so we never EVER opened presents or did anything Christmasy on the Eve. Just have the babes set out cookies and Milk. Set out the Santa gifts when you get home and keep all present opening reserved for Xmas day 😉👍🏽 just another year. The most important thing is that you’re all alive and healthy and together!

I like working Christmas EVE but not day, given the choice.
I’d rather work NEwyears.
What I did last year was take the gifts out of the closet once I got home.

I can't imagine working Christmas with littles at home. I mean, I did when I was a teenager and young adult. I'd ALWAYS volunteer to take those days so the Mama's/Papa's with little ones could be home to enjoy their babies when they see Santa came. I'm sorry Mama, that must be so hard.

Sorry, I haven't given you any advice. My heart just hurts a little for ya. 😢

Do you have off the next day?? Your babies are young enough, and the oldest will be outta school so won't have his friends to tell him any different, why don't you just push it back a day? They really won't notice the difference Mama. Just have Christmas night be y'alls Christmas Eve and do all the usual stuff, leave cookies out for Santa and let em wake up the next day thinkin itself Christmas! I think it'd be a VERY harmless LITTLE fib and everyone could be happy! 🤷‍♀️ Thoughts?

@mamaof2soon, Oh... that's totally normal girl. That's my schedule every year. Don't you just wait til they're asleep and put all the presents out? Now I'm confused why this is a problem? You get off at 5 and they go to bed at what, 8 or 9ish? You have until they wake up the next mornin to do all the Santa stuff.
