FEEDING

So my 14 month old will eat constantly if I let him. Today he had at least 3 cups of fruit before dinner and a huge handful of those little crunchies. Then we had dinner he ate at least two cups of pasta salad, rice and probably a quarter of chicken breast.
Then he ate even more of my noodles and rice. He just had one of those little bags of teddy grams and I just saw him pick up some rice that was on that little shelf on his highchair and eat it. Now hes trying to eat the crumbs from his grams.
He's average height and slightly underweight but I'm just wondering if I'm not feeding him enough. Should I keep giving him more and more food? Do your toddlers do this? Is the constant snacking hunger? Boredom?

My girl will eat like a little bird, here and there throughout the day... just picking. Little small amounts of food. I worry she isnt getting enough but wont eat more. Then a few days later, she will eat all damn day like she is starving. Lol I think it's a normal thing when they start walking. Also, when they are walking.. they get hungrier also as they are moving around more.

It can also be certain nutrients you’re missing making you so hungry even a small deficiency or not enough of a food group but I’m not sure if this applies to toddlers too with nutrition missing anyways but boys also eat more than girls on average or growth spurts as far as I know

Focus more on protein and veggies. That will fill him up better than the carbs that come with rice and noodles. My daughter did this a lot when she was growing. I fed her eggs or oatmeal for breakfast and also an after dinner snack to keep her belly full for longer
