So my 2 year old is pretty much potty trained. He pees and poops in his small potty & we’ve done 2 outings without diapers & he stayed dry the whole time. But he did tell me he had to pee one time while we were out so I brought him to the restroom but he was too scared to use the big potty. He didn’t have an accident but waited till we got home to go. I’m buying a portable potty seat for him so he can sit on the big pottys while we’re out. But I feel like he will still be scared... how do I get him to be comfortable on the larger potty? The little one we have looks just like the larger ones and even has the flushing sound. I let him flush the actual potty when we are cleaning his little potty as well.

Potty anxiety is very common when they're first learning, especially in public. My daughter would hold it until we got home up until a few months ago. She's 3 and has been potty trained since 18 months. It just takes time.
