Yes, I would definitely get some sort of custody in place and get the PFA if you feel You and the kids are in danger.

That's not kidnapping, they're his kids and you don't have a custody order.

Just to let you know unless a custody order outlines custody and visitation what he did isn’t technically kidnapping. When you go to get your protective order, they will ask you if you’re in fear or believe you and the kids are in danger. I would make that my case, because if you try to use kidnapping when right now there’s isn’t a custody order to define that, it may be declined.

@mommy_of_monsters, I would make it short and simple. Do you have any messages with him threatening you? Anything that recently happened where you were in fear for you and the kids? Generally they will issues a temp order and for an extended order you usually see the judge at a later date.

I’d pack my shit and go to a shelter 💯he wouldn’t find you there and they will help you with resources and it will also look good in court on you because it shows your the bigger person and protecting them is best
