So my 18 month old would drink some juice at night or in the middle of the night in her sippy cup. Not too long after should would cough and then it comes right up. Has anyone ever experienced this. It use to be her throwing up food, but now it is more so her juice. It’s been a few times she would throw up the water she would drink. I don’t know if it’s because she would drink the whole cup in once sitting, or me needing to give her not so much at one time.

What is the cough from? Maybe she has a an issue with mucous building up at night and its causing a really strong cough? Does she have teeth? If so its really risky to give juice at night. Maybe ask her pedi about the cough? It might be indicative of something else.

What kind of juice is it. You think maybe she will take water and just give her a little bit? Trust me I know the struggle of getting a baby to drink water or cut out a cup to help fall asleep, we are still breaking my son of that habit.

Juice so late could be from an upset tummy, but you said it has happened with food and water also. I second not recommending juice in the middle of the night also.

I don’t think she should be having juice to bed or the middle of the night. That sounds like a recipe for bottle rot. Also, if the juice has been sitting out long it could go bad and that might be making her sick. Not sure
