Look up your renters rights. In some states you can legally with-hold a portion of your rent if your landlord is refusing to fix things around the apartment and you get them fixed yourself. Or at least have a way out of your lease with limited financial and credit repercussions.
I would definitely be calling the health inspector, look into your rental rights. I’m almost positive you can break your lease with this 😪 sorry you have to go through this.
In my city if you report this it is more then enough to get out of a lease without having to pay a dime. The apartments should be ashamed for not taking this serious
I pay $1200 a month to live here and my AC unit has caught fire twice in the past six months. 🤦🏼♀️ Last time I called and explained what happened they said “Oh, it sounds like the motherboard shorted out,” which makes me think it’s a pretty common issue. The water smells bad (?!), we have squirrels in the walls, and pieces of my ceiling are coming down. This is just the (moldy) cherry on top. 😅
I was trying to reach something on a shelf, stood on a chair and that’s when I noticed. 😭😭 I almost died. We’ve been here almost two years and there’s no telling how long it’s been there! No wonder we’re all having respiratory issues!
Omg I hope you are calling to have the entire duct line inspected. That would definitely cause some damage to everyone's health. I'm so sorry y'all are having to deal with that.
We live in an apartment, and I honestly doubt they’ll even do anything. I’ve had water standing in my dishwasher (along with an inch thick of mold) for MONTHS now and every time I call, they say they’ll have it fixed and nobody ever comes by. 🙃 Our lease is up at the end of August and I am READY.
It’s awful! The second picture is from my daughter’s room, and it’s the worst out of all of them! The master bedroom and bathroom seem to be completely fine, though.
