Anyone else’s toddler refuse to eat anything semi healthy? We are going on almost 4 months now of a food strike. He will eat Mac n cheese, sometimes chicken nuggets, carrots and cereal...that’s literally it. I have tried not offering any of these options all day and just serving him whatever it is I made and he will refuse food ALL DAY LONG. He is the most stubborn child..please tell me this is just a phase and he will grow out of it 🤦🏼♀️
Also this picture has nothing to do with it I just think it’s adorable lol
This is my son! I would just cave in and feed him what he wanted untill our doctor said not to do that or it will never get better! She said kids are smart and wont starve them selfs. Make something healthy if he doesn't eat it dont make him anything different. Its super hard not going to lie but after doing it for a couple weeks my son eats almost everything now.
My son was like this when he turned 2 and FINALLY started trying new things last week. Up until now he would only eat chicken nuggets, French fries and some fruits. Try giving him a gummy vitamin that way he still gets what he needs for the day!
We make the kids take at least 1 bite of new foods. It’s called a no thank you bite??? Not sure. We usually make what the kids eat, but if they’re being stubborn they either get a sandwich (pb&j) or something microwaveable
@lifeofboggs, what’s 3k ?? Like a pre school?? And yess never get upset. As long as a child eats they are healthy and happy! Docs get in your head about the healthy food, yes they’re important. But a child will always be okay as long as they eat and drink. After 4 kids I never worry. Even popcorn keeps these kids happy.ill offer food and some times they say no. I can’t make them eat 🤷🏼♀️
@sabi.bishh, yes it’s basically just glorified daycare for 3 days a week where they attempt to teach them a little something before preschool at age 4. I’m just sending him because he needs the social interaction more then anything.
@lifeofboggs, they will prolly teach him the no thank you bite like they did at my sons pre school. It helps in certain ways. It depends on the child. My son did not listen to numbers or letters for shit 😒😒 he’s still learning in kindergarten. But he is adhd so his meds have helped him a lot. Like I said, don’t stress, there’s always a way.
