I need some comfort and support and I haven’t really gone public with family and friends about it but recently I found out that my son has a small calcified density (mass) on his right adrenal gland and as we are approaching further testing, I’m just hoping it’s not something serious. I blame myself as a parent sometimes because I let him get as many xrays, CT scans and MRIs for his other medical issues and my mom thinks it’s from that but his pediatrician said it’s very unlikely but very uncommon for him to have it this late on (he’s almost 2) so he’s definitely concerned. I’m just worried/scared and haven’t been able to sleep much because of it. I just want to hold him so close. He had an ultrasound yesterday and the tech said she didn’t see anything and even had the radiologist come look but he said I couldn’t go off of that because sometimes in children this young it’s hard to see the adrenal glands clearly and he will need a CT following the ultrasound to see them. Again still waiting on the doctor to call, which he will say that he needs a CT but I’m still just so shaken up. Any kind of comfort is appreciated 😔
