For anyone who receives food stamps, you should check the dss website and check for your state, I don't know for your state how it's all effected in each state but Missouri resident's got two payments one is the normal food stamps you get every month on the set date and the other is for February's amount.. So basically we got double our normal amount and won't receive any during the actual month of February and won't get anymore until the partial government shut down is over.

I think all states are doing this. I read it has something to do with an agreement with the USDA that will end in January. This was the only way they could guarantee everyone would get their February benefits.

I thought if they cut your food stamps off they had to notify you!? I got a letter saying they needed check stubs. I sent them in but a little after the due date. I was supposed to get food stamps today and they didn’t put the money on there.

Oregon has not hear anything but we will find out the 20th when we check as that the deadline but, we did as the office yesterday so 🤷
