Does anyone have a hampster ?? My daughters hampster ended up getting out of her cage yesterday. We found her today and my cat 🐱 had her! Her eye is completely gone! And her front arm is broken. Do I take her to get treated ? Or should I just put her down. I know they’re may be internal bleeding and have to put her down anyway. But I’m just not sure what to do?

Im assuming she said that because she asked me what she did when I laid her down. And i told her she went str8 to her food. But she’s been sleeping for the past hour. If she’s not up at night time that’ll be really nerve recking. No she’s breathing normally like she usually does. I’m really mostly watching her I’m scared to touch her. Being that I’m gonna have to get her out of there tomorrow. I don’t wanna hurt her anymore.
Yeah I’m really distraught with the fact that she did that. But my S.O is right they have those instincts and I couldn’t have expected her not to. My cat is older now so it was just unexpected. Just the way she sat there and stared at her cage when I put her away. Got me in my feelings 😪 cause I never seen my cat act that way. I’m really considering giving her away to my grandmother.
Im going to look into giving her something for pain. I’m sure she’ll let me give it to her. She’s really social so she doesn’t bite or anything. Thanks for your advice!
I’m not trying to make you feel bad but I highly doubt that hamster is suppressing the pain that goes with having it’s eye ripped out and arm broken. The vet said the same thing about my dog getting spade and I demanded they give her doggy pain meds because it’s surgery for fuck sake! I know I need it if I have surgery and I treat my animals like they’re my kids and have empathy for them so maybe google if you can give her Tylenol at least or a sedative of some kind so she sleeps until you go to the vet. Is her breathing erratic? Animals definitely feel pain but just don’t express it in ways we do. I hope your sweet baby pulls through. You seem to care a lot about her so I’d look into doing what I can for pain or atleast sleep and go to the vet first thing in the morning. So sorry that happened. I love cats to death and have had plenty but they are trophy hunters and kill and Wound unnecessary. That’s the only problem I have with them.

She did say that hampster a surpress pain very well. Didn’t make me feel any better 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ cause now i Can’t even imagine how bad she’s hurting

Yes I’ve called several vets. The emergency ones no one takes “exotic animals” as they say. 🙄🙄 so unfortunately I’ll have to just keep an eye on her tonight until tom morning. Where I can call as soon as they start opening at 7am
Poor hamster! I would consult a vet and see what should be done. We’ve had hamsters for about two years now. Our first one lived to be a year and a half old, the second one died unexpectedly at five months old, and we just got a new one a few weeks ago. They’re escape artists for sure.
Yes they definitely are! She’s gotten out of her cage 3 times already. She bites through the plastic because we have her in a maze type of home with connections to it. I feel so bad 😔 we’ve put tape around it and she still manages to bite through it. We’re gonna have to get a different home for her. Depending on what the vet says tomorrow. Unfortunately our 24 hour vets don’t take hampsters! Which is absurd to me! It’s still a animal!
Oh poor hamster! I told probably just put it down. Call a vet and ask what to do.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! Baby won't bear weight on leg
I have a walking 10 month old and she has been extra fussy yesterday and today. Today I noticed she didn't really want to crawl, she would just cry until I came and picked her up. After I fed her, I tried setting her down to play with her big sister and she just started crying and wouldn't put any weight on her left leg. But since last two days am not having good feeling....I just feel something is wrong inside wid d kid...all my symptoms r too less
Morning sickness is gone....Metallic taste of my tounge is also less....and I feel pain in my abdoman twice or thrice which is very minor though

I don't care what ppl think of me, but I'm seriously considering putting my baby up for adoption. I love her with all of heart, but doing this alone is hard. Every single night she just screams to the top of her lungs and I do everything to soothe her. I don't know what to do at all. I wish I had some kind of help. I don't have a single ounce of help. I don't know a single soul in Minnesota either.
My cat killed my gerbil when I was in middle school. I saw it happen. Traumatizing, but I don’t blame the cat. That was around 2007 or 2008.
