They say accidents happen with babies but I feel terrible that my daughter threw herself over the rail on the bed. Usually she just goes to the edge and talks to herself and bounces but not this last time. I was looking at her play and tried to save her but now my stepdad is mad and he was cursing at me saying I need to do better and watch her (was 2 feet away looking at her when it happened). Idk how to feel because she is just fine and cried for 30 seconds then started playing so my mom and gma says it happens and laughed it off but my stepdad is livid and thinks I was being careless and not watching her. I know her dad is going to make a big deal so I really just don't know how to feel right now.

Omg... My son was constantly falling off the bed, couch, chairs, all the time. A lot of the time he landed on his head to because it was so big and heavy and he was absolutely fine! Take a hint from your mom and grandma, it happens all the time to every mom... My almost 4m old had already fallen once or twice and I've accidentally bumped his head into a wall being half asleep and trying to carry him to his bed... He's fine too. Don't even sweat it
@e_elliana408 thank you, it put my life on hold for a long time but I wouldn't have had it any other way. If I wasn't there for them never would have been in my nephew Michael's life. My sister had four children Michael was her second child and he passed away when he was two and a half
@momsrmagical, you changed their life dramatically for the better. Be very proud of yourself for making a impact on those boys lives. Family is important and to help out especially the little ones you deserve a oscar nominee if I said that right lol
@e_elliana408 awe, thank you but to me it's just what you should do if you can . I of course moved on once I started my life. But I'm always still there for them. I've always been a nurturer. A mother to everybody. My neighbors kids and my friends kids are my kids. They are a lot older now. The oldest is 22 Michael would have been 19 and the other two are 17 and 15.
@mississippi.queen, so true with babies being uncoordinated at that age. Looks I’ve gotten at stores at times 😒
@momsrmagical wow I am trying to accept that she is going to get hurt but it's so scary when she first cries after doing something crazy. Even when she goes back to playing my heart will still be racing.

Don't feel bad and don't listen to your stepdad. You're doing a fine job and you're right accidents happen. My god when my sister had her first child. He was barely a week old when he rolled right off of her bed hitting a floor lamp and was 100% fine. My daughter was walking at 8 months old and smashed her face on a table getting a bad nosebleed, she went to open a door on an extremely windy day and got thrown across the concrete smashing her head into it. For all those things I was right there and they still happened. Our kids are going to get hurt. That's all there is to it. We can't control we can only try

@mississippi.queen oh goodness, how old is he? She falls a lot but usually trying to balance standing up. This is the second time she has hurt herself within the last month so I guess I have to get used to it
My son throws himself off of MY bed. He bleeds once a day I feel like. He's just starting to walk well but he's still pretty clumsy and uncoordinated. But I feel like he gets a busted lip a week, always has bruises lol he climbs on everything, falls off of everything. The boy is a mess. Lol
