I got pregnant by a guy who was my boyfriend at the time, we ended up breaking up and I got back with my ex, my ex has taken full custody of my daughter and is practically his own. He was there since I was 2 months pregnant and was my boyfriend for 6 years prior, my daughter ended up getting his last name.

I just found out my daughters biological father is trying to get married and come to this country (USA) because he's from Argentina and has no Visa. Can he come to this country once he does and try to take her away? Or well the court be on my side since he has never even asked about my daughter and my husband has been the FULL provider of her

Please let me know. I'm kind of freaking out of the thought of him coming here and trying something.

Was it wrong of me for giving my daughter my husbands last name?

@rowdy-vajazzy, no, my fiancée put his last name. He has been with me since I was 2 months pregnant and is her father. He does everything for my daughter and treats her like his own

You are not obligated and you couldn’t have anyway without him being present. Did you leave it blank?

@rowdy-vajazzy, he does know. I'm sure he knows a lot about her from other people.

What I did wasn't illegal right? I'm not obligated to put him on her birth certificate... beginning of my
Pregnancy he was trying to force me to abort and even told me that if I didn't abort he would leave me.. it was bad

He has never been a father figure towards her

Do you want her to know him at all? I think he would have parental rights, but would he even want them if he hasn’t asked about her? Does he even k ow she was born?

This would be worth talking to a lawyer about. Since he’s not in the country now, I would get things started now, so you can get primary custody.
