@erikanbethune2, :) my daughter wasn’t in the NICU, she was in Pediatrics, which is a step down- what’s nice is I was able to stay with her in there- my husband too actually- we had a private room and bathroom. She wore the hospital provided shirts the first few days, then by day 4 I wanted to dress her up- but I only had 1 outfit with me. My husband brought some over :). We just stayed about 7 days, but they provided everything- endless diapers, wipes, formula (premixed in the little bottles), pumping supplies- bottles to mix formula and breastmilk and even pacifiers they aren’t “supposed to have”- they actually do for the sick babies because it can help calm them. Oh the other thing I almost forgot was burp rags. My hospital didn’t have burp rags, but gave us washcloths and receiving blankets to use—- they are not good for babies sensitive skin.
Just a cute outfit or two for each for going home. They will provide everything. Well I actually recommend bringing a baby nail file that’s one thing they didn’t have and my baby had long nails— oh and the little hand mits. Or if you have something special you want to take a picture of them with such as a special blanket or something, but not needed. Don’t forget the car seats ;).
