@beakymcspence, Thank you so much! I appreciate it greatly. I got to see my midwife today (first time since ultrasound) and she put my mind at ease. I was doing my best not to google in the meantime but slipped up of course 🙄. I’m pretty good at not freaking out over things that are out of my control thankfully. Also, congrats on your pregnancy that’s so amazing!!
@roxanelouise, I had a lady last week with a very severe case hers had actually crossed over into the membranes. Although babies growth was a bit behind throughout her pregnancy we delivered a very healthy 6 pound babe! Don’t google scare yourself over it, but definitely speak with your doctor on anything you want clarified. Are they referring you to a high risk OBGYN or waiting it out? You can always in box me too, as a L&D nurse I can try and help with questions 🙂
It can be pretty common, and they monitor growth quite closely as they can get less nutrients and the rate of growth slowed. Often MCI’s end up being C-Section deliveries as to reduce the risks of issue.
