If you need moisture between washing toss some more shea butter on it. After a couple weeks you'll start seeing a difference

@erikaaaa I would get Cantu kids or shea moisture kids shampoo and conditioner. When you style it get a detangling spray, both brands sell it and wet her hair that way not with just plain water. Use their styling cream for kids and if you just washed it after put some shea butter or coconut oil in to moisturize it and comb it through. Try to stop washing it so often. Every 2-3 days for curly hair is good otherwise you're stripping all thay good moisture out.

Also dont use a regular brush on curly hair, a pick or detangling brush is best.

How old is your baby? Do not wash curly hair every day. You have to give it a few days in between. Depending on age would be the products I would recommend for you. The key to curly hair is moisture, not water but retaining the natural oils and adding oils that will lock moisture in and add moisture if lacking. I use raw shea butter a lot in between washes to help my baby's hair stay moisturized. I use shea kids products on her as well, shampoo, conditioner, a detangling spray and a styling cream. Prior to that when she was maybe 10 months to a year or so I used a more gentle one, I'd have to look up for you. My baby is 2.5 and she is half black and half Puerto Rican. I'm Puerto Rican with extremely curly hair so I'm well accustomed to the maintenance it can take.
