alot of pets....what do we do?

So my hubby and I are suckers for sob stories when it comes to animals and as a result we have 5 cats. All rescues. My family are putting alot of pressure on us to get rid of at least 3 of them. Deep down I know they have a point and when it comes to my baby I will always put him/her first. It just kills me to get rid of any of them. They're all so friendly and good tempered. Like I said we've taken them in from horrible situations e.g. house fires, bad homes, storms. What would you do? Should I get rid of them?

Why get rid of them? I could never get rid of my cats. And why can't you have your cats and baby too? I have a dog, two cats, and a fish tank. I'm not getting rid of my first babies. If you don't think you can handle the work then I understand, but I would never let anyone persuade me to do anything I didn't want to do.

In my house there's four dogs, three hamsters, two bearded dragons, and a beta fish! I'm keeping all of my animals. My SO grew up with no pets and he says he wishes he had! So he's being pretty lenient with all the fur babies and other animals we have!

We have a dog and a cat. But we are having to get rid of our kitty which saddens me but she has a bad habit of jumping and laying smack on my son's face every time my son lays down. So we are concerned that she will do it with our newborn. If you feel comfortable to keep all your animals then do so. You will know if your can handle it or not once the baby is born.

I've had a couple people tell SO and I that we should get rid of our two cats when the baby comes but neither of us want to get rid of them and agreed once the baby comes, neither of them are allowed in our bedroom.

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and we do not plan on getting rid of any of them. We are already making the nursery a no cat zone, so when the baby comes they will know it is off limits. But I definitely think you should wait and see how the cats are with baby, a lot of cats are great about keeping their distance. When my 9 yo son was a baby, our cat slept on the rug every single night in his room. Never had an issue with our cat jumping in the crib.

I have 2 cats, a dog and a hamster, we're keeping the cats and hamster but I'm not sure yet whether my dog will stay with my parents for a while, he's great with our two girls and kids in general but he's never been around a small baby, I've heard such sad stories concerning dogs and newborns as much as I know he's a softie my paranoia can't handle it! ?

I would keep them. Especially since they're well tempered. We have 3 cats and a bunny. If we had a larger house, we would have more! I love rescuing animals in need.

If you can afford and have the energy to keep them after baby comes then keep them...if they are indoor cats just make sure someone else cleans the litter as there's somthing it cat poo that is really harmful for you and baby! And when baby is here just make sure they don't sleep in the same room as baby etc! :)

Indoor cats do not spread toxoplasmosis. Only cats that go outside can catch the parasite. If a cat has never been outside, it cannot catch toxoplasmosis. I would still have someone else change the litter to be safe though.

I have this pregnancy, six kids (14,9,6,5,3,3 so young,) five cats 3 are outside, a yorkie, fish, and a snake. I just delegated the litter box. They won't hurt your baby or 'steal their breath' lol it's whatever u think is best :)

Why would you get rid of them? Pets are family :) nothing wrong with having that many cats!!

I'd say if you think its to much, or perhaps cleanliness is to much. Then I'd say find them good homes. Only you know what's really going on in your own home for them to make these requests. Also maybe the kitties would get more love attention with a family with less pets.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

need suggestions.... So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

son getting out of car seat

son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.

IUI Monday!! So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years!!! It was a good thing we picked up a trigger shot before we left too :-)
