What can an 11 month old eat I have my family and in laws pulling my arm saying he has to eat this and no he can’t eat that so at this point he’s been eating bananas, strawberries, watermelon, purée and formula. And snacks on puffs and yogurt drops and baby’s first cookies and mum mums .. is there anything he should be eating that I’m not giving him? I don’t want to hold him back on his nutrition
@mommybear_, you do what you think is best for your child. In laws have no say in shit when it comes to your kids.
@mommybear_ ehh... lots of different ways to "mom" lol chose what works best for YOU! 😁
@pettybetty, ohh ok thank you ❤️ been a mom almost a year and still don’t know a lot of things lol
@mommybear_ led weaning is basically skipping purees and going straight to finger foods/table foods, focussing on letting babies self feed instead of spoon feeding them.
@mommybear_ we chose baby LED weaning. He's been on solid foods since 6mo. I did give him some fruit purees when he was smaller, but he really hated them.. So it just helped me make the decision for solid foods.
@reddroses14, I totally agree with you both too I just don’t have the balls and I don’t know why because before I always did but when it does come to my grandma I say nothing because she does babysit him for me while I’m at work and her criticism makes me feel so bad like anything I do I’m a bad mother and I know I’m not and my older brother always sticks his neck out defending me and notices that a lot of people criticize me yet I’m a good mom
My 8mo old eats everything I eat, within reason. He does not eat baby food purees.
@reddroses14 my babies love meat lol they just tried rib meat the other day and omg they went crazy dancing
Jackson is 6 months and I've been giving him little pieces of pork chop, chicken, hamburger meat and certain foods we eat. You can try some fresh veggies and fruits. I agree with @momma2twinies in the end you are the mother. I never let anyone dictate to me on how to raise or feed Jackson. I did that with my daughter when I lived at home. It was my 1st baby and I didn't have enough balls to stand up for myself as I do now. No one helps with my kids and pays my bills so as I'm all for advice and suggestions I will do as I need to
@momma2twinies, oh yes he’s so much better lol that was back in February
At 11 Months he can eat all table food as long as you cut it small enough and he has good chewing skills.
@momma2twinies, yea he was on an oxygen tank he couldn’t breath on his own we ended up staying at the hospital for 4 days
@mommybear_ aw poor baby ,😣 I know he must've felt terrible. That's sad about her brother but I'm sure your baby is fine with it
@momma2twinies, my son no that was from the flu that got worse and worse through time but my grandmas brother yes that’s what she said according to her
I felt guilty too cause while I was giving t to him he had ended up hospitalized for respiratory infection
@mommybear_ I'd give it to him if he likes it. Why not. He needs other fluids besides formula at this age. Why she said it's bad tho?
@momma2twinies, she said that it’ll kill him and it’s super bad for people 🤦♀️ but I do my research before give my son anything and it has so many health benefits for babies he doesn’t like to drink regular water so I gave him coconut water for flavor and he’d drink that shit up like nothing lol
@mommybear_ shit my babies been earing table food for awhile lol I know some people don't agree with it but your the momma and if you feel comfortable trying some stuff then I say go for it. I give my babies water, tea, juice, lactose free chocolate milk. I feed them my food every night. Like lastnight they had garlic green beans and yellow rice. This morning for brunch they had baked potato, cheesy scrambled eggs, and grits and some half and half tea. My babies are healthy as ever and LOVE food. I don't see a problem with coconut water. Why did she freak out?
@momma2twinies, his last appt was in March and said not table food yet but I’ve seen a lot of moms do that that’s what made me so confused and my grandma freaked out when I gave him coconut water which he seemed to absolutely love
If your unsure. You can ask his dr. But I give my babies everything I eat unless it's spicy. I hardly ever give them baby food or pureed foods anymore because they prefer my food over that. I haven't tried my babies on melon or strawberries yet but I'm going to soon. I do alot of different snacks too.
Most food just real small I started Reg food at 5 months wit my son
