To epidural or not??? I heard some really great things and really bad things about getting an epidural. So I figured I'd reach out to all of you and see what your opinions are... I have heard that the worst part is at the end and even with the epidural a lot of times it stops working by the time you have the baby anyway. I have also heard that the recovery time with an epidermal is like three times longer. Women that have had an epidural in the past what do you guys think????
@raquely, okay guess I’ll wait to see when times comes
@reanasanders26. I understand ur concerns make sure u ask the doc about getting it in ur hand. I know i am when i get there!!
@raquely Yeah i just told her the same it is scary but i know the spinal tap is way different.... and I was unaware that you could get it in your hand too.. I am definitely going to talk to the doctor then next time I go in. Thank you so much for all your information you've been extremely helpful...
@raquely, i guess that’s something to look and ask my doctor about because i already experience a lot of back pain . I just know once they say we gotta give it to you in your back I’m move . I just know
@raquely oh okay. I got it. So it's like the epidural or nothing....😜
@reanasanders26 yeah it scares me to just mostly because I had all the issues already. I was in high school and I don't feel like I moved but I might have but I lost feeling on my whole left side from the spinal tap... But don't let that scare you because a spinal tap is different and I think it's more invasive then the epidural as well... I have heard stories about them having to suck babies out with like a vacuum cleaner because you lose feeling to push and two of my friends actually had that happen. But then I hear tons of great stories about getting the epidural and no issues and no problems so I was just trying to get as much information from people that have been through it as I can and to help everybody else that has to make the decision.
@ansturner15, see I’m glad you said that cause I’m scared to get it in my back so I’m try to get it in my IV. I’m would move when it come to needles
@raquely I was not aware you could get and IV pain med... I am definitely going to have to look into that I am way more comfortable with getting them in the IV then in my back. I had an issue in high school I got a spinal tap and they hit a nerve and it was very painful and very uncomfortable for about two and a half weeks so I am a little nervous but I'm really up and down about it too. Thank you so much for the information I'm going to try to figure out about the IV as well!!!!!
@mommytotheo thanks anything that makes it easier and healthiest for my lil girl i am all for😄
I got one and it worked the whole time. I waited till the very last minute. Nothings bad about it to me I could walk as soon as they took it out. If they would have let me I could have walked to mother baby. My recovery wasnt bad at all. I was doing every thing I normally didn't 2 days PP
I had an epidural with my first and it lasted the whole time during labor. I got it at about 5cm. By the time they got me and baby cleaned up I could walk back to my recovery room. With my second, I also had one but I was 8cm by the so it didn't work 😂 I would say my recovery was the same. Labor was just obviously painful with my daughter and not with my son. I am getting one with this third baby, that's for sure! Lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
@raquely well my son was 2 lb 12 oz and I didn't get offered the epidural he was very unexpected my water broke and here he was. She was 5 lb 9 oz the last time I went to the doctor. So there's quite a bit of difference already!!
