Explaining anxiety to someone who's never dealt with it is the single most frustrating thing ever. And when you're explaining and they go "why are you picking at your nails? Do you ever sit still?" No. That's the anxiety. I have anxiety from simply speaking about my anxiety. And then to get hit with. " Well you can just stop it right? Just don't be nervous." That's not how this works sweet heart. Getting tired of having to explain myself constantly to people who will never understand.

@nerdymommyplus2 Right? It's like they expect us to run from them or some shizz, or be rude to get people to go away. Honestly people with anxiety are often the most polite and friendly, because we're afraid of messing up.

It's like. It's called being polite... I guess people with anxiety can't be polite 🤦

@nerdymommyplus2 Right? Just because I can be friendly doesn't mean I'm not freaking out about the way I just said Hello.

My favorite is
"You don't look like someone who has anxiety. You're friendly and always smiling "

And yet you've failed you notice me tapping my hands the entire time on my side while we're talking 🙄🤦
