Has anyone done a blood test to find out the gender of the baby and was it accurate ?
@sacharyjacobs, I used MaterniT21 for genetic testing which also told me gender.
@victoriamichelle1418, that good to hear i was just shock with my result n the symptoms I was having
Yes, I did genetic testing around 15 weeks and it was 99.7 or 99.9 percent accurate. I did it with all 3 and they were.
@sacharyjacobs, lol my son will be 2 3 months after the baby’s due date. So they’ll be like 21 months apart
@kaela3, lol mine will only be 1 year apart 😩😩 n my son already becoming a pain in the but
@sacharyjacobs, lol yeah i want my son to be potty trained and then have this one on the way for potty training before we even think about having another lol. They will not be as close in age as these two but won’t be like 5 years apart tho. Maybe like 3
@kaela3, I feel u on that one but for now im not having my next child for a very long while Lol
@sacharyjacobs, same lol! The first trimester of this pregnancy was so different than it was with my son. But down the road we might try one more time and hopefully 3rd time is a charm 🤞🏼
@kaela3, yeah I can feel that when the doctor told me I was having a boy i wanted to cry because from all the symptoms I was having im like How is this possible
@kaela3, yeah they going make me go do a sonogram so just in case I think there lying
@sacharyjacobs, and i deep down wanted a girl too and everyone thought i was having a girl but nope lol
@sacharyjacobs, yeah i got mine done by the dr as well cause i got the tests done for trisomy 13 and stuff and finding out the sex is a bonus basically with that blood work. And that’s crazy that it took two weeks mine too 7 to 10 days .
@owlylove4, that good to know because I didn't want to believe my result today
@kaela3, well than I guess my family was all wrong they all thought I was having a girl I was the only one saying I was having a boy but it was a bit shocking when the doctor told me deep down I wanted a girl since I already have my boy
@badadvicemom, it was by doctor but it took 2 week for the result to come in
@sacharyjacobs, i did mine at 12 weeks. It’s 99% accurate because they can detect the babies DNA in your blood after 10 weeks. And us girls don’t have a Y chromosome so that’s how they know if it’s a boy or not lol. I’m having a boy as well
@kaela3, oh okay I just found out I'm having a boy I did the blood test in 17 weeks but that good to know at least
I did and it was accurate. It’s more accurate than the ultrasound. My girl got told through an ultrasound she was having a girl for months, until the end they said she was having a boy.
It’s accurate that’s what I did with my son!
