@natajames I'm glad I could help! Nobody told me this either. But I like to research absolutely everything especially medicine. I think it's because I'm having my first so a bit paranoid! I hope it makes you more comfortable in whatever decision you make x
@sobia, thank you! That's very interesting, didn't even know there is a live virus flu jab and other not, didn't have that explained to me. I'm probed to cold so now I'm more confident to get one, thanks a lot 🌺
I was worried like you. There are two types of flue jabs. One that has a live virus and one that doesn't. You will be getting the one that doesn't. So it's impossible for you to become ill from it unlike the other type. It also gives your baby immunity from flue even a few months after birth. That can be really important for a new born. I'm totally against medicine and won't even have a paracetamol. But I had the flue jab and I'm glad I did! X
Thank you everyone, much appreciated, having had a cold recently I don't think I can cope with a flu as well, more inclined to get it now, thank you everyone for your advice .x
The jab has like the smallest amount of the virus in it so your body learns to fight it. Some people may feel like they have a little cold afterwards but you wont have full blown flu. Ive had flu 3 times in my life and i honestly thought i was dying. Took me weeks to recover and i lost loads of weight. Id never been so unwell in my life! The jab is only quick and and definitely better than getting flu! Its up to you if you want it or not and they cant force you but i would recommend having it x
@natajames it's like the smallest amount so your body can learn to fight it quicker. It won't harm you. Like I said I had it I was fine and my daughter is healthy. I think everyone reacts to things differently. If you really don't want it then don't do it but because you're classed as vulnerable in this weather I think it's better to take the risk of the jab then falling ill by not taking it and something happening x
