Please tell me I'm not wrong for this. My sons second birthday is the 29th. We are throwing him a party on the 1st. My brother-in-law is pissed because I don't want beer at the party. It's a kids party! There's going to be kids everywhere. It's not a party for adults. We are there to celebrate my son and not get fucked up drunk. We are having it at a park and I'm not even sure if beer is allowed at the park especially because it's on a Sunday. He got angry and said we'll my family isn't going and if you don't have beer my uncle's won't show up. They will show up. I know they will. For my baby shower we didn't have beer and everyone showed up and had a great time. It's pissing me off because I'm trying to plan a nice party and he keeps fucking it up because he always has an opinion about what I'm doing. His theme is Grave Digger! Attached is a picture for the ladies that don't watch Monster Jam. Am I wrong for not having beer?

Why do ppl need to drink everythng they do. Fucking annoying. Tell him to grow the fuck up. Drinking is not that important to miss a child's birthday over.

@guaderrama_babies2 then that is completely understandable I wouldn't do it either than. Like I said, people knew that is was a casual thing, not a "let's get fucked up thing" you know. You don't want anyone to ruin his day. So Id let him know these are your wishes, he can take it or leave it. If alcohol is that important that he would not show up to the party, then I think he shouldn't be around anyway..

I don't drink, a good part of the people I invite to my get parties don't drink so I usually do not provide alcohol. I think he needs to respect your plans. It's a child's party, there are plenty of other opportunities to drink.

@mami3st2011 the thing is that my husband has an uncle who gets overly drunk and ruins everything. He screams and throw things. He is an alcoholic who won't get help. How brother will sit there and smoke and drink till he passes out. I don't want that for his birthday

I don't think there is a place for alcohol at a baby shower or a kids party. That shouldn't even be a debate.

Personally, I feel if those are your wishes, he should respect that. But I allowed beer at my kid's birthday parties, but I only did so because I knew no one would get over the top. But if you don't feel comfortable with it and they don't like it then maybe they shouldn't come so they don't ruin your kids party.
