New here. Saw birth stories are a thing soooo here it goes. Scarlett was my hardest pregnancy but easier labor. How easy? I didn't know I was in labor. I had a doctors appointment that day. I wanted someone to cover the last two hours on my shift but the only person who would take it was someone who had to drive an hour to get there. Blessing in disguise. When I got to my doctor I was 4 1/2 centimeters dilated. The doctor sent me to the birthing center where I found out I was in labor. I had no clue. My contractions felt like the knots in my back were acting up. The pain did progressively get worse. I ended us screaming "oh god it hurts, it hurts. Make it stop please someone make it stop." My hand were holding onto the plastic bed rails to tight my ex could hear the creaking. Right as all that was happening a baby steps class of newly pregnant first time moms were getting a walk though tour of the birthing center. I kept taking showers just to have the hot water run on my back to relieve some one the pain. Eventually I ended up in the tub where I wasn't allowed to give birth. Once in the tub my body started feeling the urge to push. The nurses helped me out of the tub and tried to help me get dress I politely declined and told them to just get me back to my room. They helped me walk with one on each side to hold me up back to the room. Where I found out pushing was the easiest part. Once my daughter was in my arms I did t know what to say so I just kept intruding myself. "Hello. Hi. I'm you're mom. Your name is Scarlett. I love you. Hi."

My son on the other hand was my easiest pregnancy but my hardest labor. Let me start out by saying I will never take Nubain again. I went into labor at work the girl I was coming on for handed me a maxi pad and left. I work four hours in an oldie folks home by myself. When I finials left and went to the hospital they told me my contractions were to sporadic so they sent me home. The pain got worse by night time so I jumped in the tub. When I got out of the tub it hurt so much my now ex had to dress me. We got to the hospital where they came to the car with a wheelchair to bring me to the birthing center. I tried the same tricks to relieve pain as my first time around. Honestly I think back labor was easier. I got there they relieve he had pooped inside me. The pain was so bad I broke and took the Nubian. All of a sudden I was seeing two of everything. His heart rate started to drop so they flipped me over. My o2 was dropping so I have a oxygen mask on. While I was flipped over I started having the urge to push. I got back on my back the doctor checked me and I wasn't fully dilated. The doctor had to hole my cervix open while I tried to push but nothing was happening. They broke out the suction cup. Once his head was out i was able to push him the rest of the way. He didn't cry and they said he was cold. In what felt like a half drunken state I began to panic and just kept asking if he was ok. Finally I heard him cry. That was the longest minute of my life. His sugars were all out of wack becuz I had late term gestational diabetes that had gone untreated. It wasn't until the next day I could finally give him a bath and wash the poop from his hair.

Soo who else wants to share???

My first was completely natural. Honestly. It hurt but once I got to the pushing point I was able to focus on something and that helped a lot. Also it was back labor so I would go into the shower every so often and just let hot water run down my back to dull it. I also did a lot of bending over the bed and rocking my hips side to side. The nurses suggested the big ball but sitting up right like that hurt like hell. I saved the tub for last when the showers weren't touching the pain but really you're body was meant to do this. I think the pain you go through is a truly powerful and bonding experience for you and your baby. @daniellejan
