Maybe they feel as though he has something to prove (which is time to understand that he will actually be around). I went through the same thing. Only time will change their mind and they'll come around once they realize he is going to be around for the long run for the both of you

Can't imagine why they wouldn't want to meet the man who will potentially be in yours and your childs life 😒 they may need more time to accept it.
