I have reranged my house probably about 4 times in about week and some how my front room ends up with most toys and now I got a play pin in middle of my front room floor I am running out of space my house is being taken over by my kids
I only have one 2yr old, but I know how quickly toys can overrun the house!! I designate my bedroom as a toy free zone!! As for the other rooms of the house I set up a corner or small area in each room designated for play. The trick to making this work, for me, is to only to have toys or self contained activities available in these spots so that they are less likely to spread them all over the room and just keep them in one spot. For example in the kitchen I have an art easel and some art supplies in one corner, in the living room I have a small, low shelf that has 1 or 2 puzzles, a Mr. Potato Head and a magna doodle. I just rotate out different yet similar items every couple of weeks.
