How bad is the epidural? I'm still early in my pregnancy, but I'm freaking out about the epidural lol. Especially because I have a light case of scoliosis in my lower back and I can't tolerate too much pressure on it the wrong way.

The epi that I got sucked I'm not gonna lie . I felt it all still I just couldn't move . When they came to stick the needle in it's a hurtful pinch 😏 After I left the hospital I was fine after a couple of months , now my back aches every now & then , sometimes my back hurts when it's cold out. But every experience is different .

I'm a baby when it comes to pain and I starting hyperventilating when the guy came up to do my epidural my contractions were so unbearable that I freaked out when I seen him and he told me that if I didn't calm down I wasn't getting it so I had to chill out real quick I was at a 7 when he got to my room but I was totally freaking over nothing I didn't even feel him prick me to numb it it was awesome!

I have problems with most meds but the epi was not one of them. it was 7.5 years ago but I dont remember it burning or hurting. maybe cuz I was In so much pain from back labor already idk. and I didn't have any lasting back pain after delivery like most women say..

It's not bad. I have horrible back problems and I'm not gonna lie it hurt but not as bad as I thought. just a lot of pressure off and on like a pulse for about a minute. If that makes sense. And they do a numbing first so you don't feel the size of the needle!

I loved the epidural lol I was totally against getting it but since I was induced the contractions were pretty intense from the get go. You don't even feel it going into your back, and the relief is fast acting. The only downside is having to stay in bed the rest of the time but since I was induced I wasn't allowed up anyways
