mommies , what do you guys suggest about putting a pillow under a 3 week old baby? my sister bought me a boppy for the baby. it's really small. literally like a little bigger than my baby's head. what do you guys think? is it ok to have my baby lay on it so he's not laying flat down? only because he's been throwing up and they suggested for him not to lay flat... last night we had him sleeping on a bouncer type of thing, we had it on the bed so he wouldn't be on the floor.. but doesn't seem like he's liking the idea of sleeping on it today. so i'm having him sleep on his bassinet but i put that boppy underneath his head...
@mommywifelifestyle, i didn't do it , i didn't trust myself so i just put a thick blanket. he seemed to have done ok
i would say it's okay if your awake like for naps but overnight I would not recommend it
@mommywifelifestyle, we don't have a crib rn. do you think it's ok putting like a few blankets or one thick blanket folded underneath the mattress in the bassinet? or i shouldn't risk it
@onlyluvremains, is that what it's for? car seat? i didn't really know what it was for.. which one do you use?
if you have a crib or playpen just put a pillow under the mattress that way you won't have to worry about anything happening.
oh you have the one that's used for when they're in the carseat... that's why it's so small.... it's like a head rest... idk about that, thought you were talking about the actual boppy pillow....
yeah he'll be just fine.... I used mine and still do and baby 8 months now lol
even if he turns, it's not in his face.. if that makes sense. but is it ok?
I’m so tired but I can’t sleep. Every time I lay the baby down he wakes up after like 10 minutes. 😴
what are you guys thoughts on letting your baby cry...my baby goes to sleep on me but once I put him down he crys and wakes up I don't like letting him cry like that so I pick him back up. he will be a month old in 2 days.
Question about lifting head
So Raptor does great at lifting/holding his head when we are holding him (standing or sitting), when he's laying on my chest and on his boppy lounge pillow but when I put him flat on the ground...nothing! He just uses his legs a ton and screams. It surprises me because he does SO good and has such good head control on his boppy and on me!
So Connor is almost 5 months old and he has a flat spot on his head, he sleeps on his back but I put him a one of those things were it like keeps him on his back so he doesn't roll. I have him sleeping in a pack and play, would it be safe to let him sleep on his tummy or not yet? I just don't want his head to end up being super flat.
Can a baby sleep on a pillow ? I know a baby is suppose to sleep on his/her back but what if the baby is sleeping on it's back but head on a pillow ? So the baby won't be so flat.
The pillow will be great for tummy time
