Moms: Any suggestions on what would be good gifts for my girls ages 8 and 4, other than toys?? They have too many toys. I honestly rather not spend money on toys and would like to gift them somethings that they can put to good use. What are some of you mom's doing?

We're really big on having out kids read, so we bought them a Kindle this year. Usually we buy them books, but they have too many so the Kindle is to save space too. We're not too big on giving them electronics but we figured since they can only read books on it then it's OK.

My parents go by want, need, wear, read. We get one that we want, one that we need (like a blender), one that we'll wear (outfit -pair of shoes and 1 whole outfit) and one we'll read like a book set or just a regular book
