I had my son at 34 weeks he was 4 lbs and 5 oz he came with no warning they couldn't stop my labor because my blood pressure was sky high next thing I know my water broke and about two minutes later he was out with two pushes! he came out crying and eyes open his breathing was fine and he was perfect we only spent three days in the hospital and was able to go home because he was eating and doing everything like a champ. Oh and it was a natural birth no pain meds what so ever
I had my daughter at 34 weeks. She was 4 pounds 4 ounces. She spent 2 and a half weeks in the NICU. Just for body temperature and not sucking really well.
I didn't give birth but I did go into preterm labor at 35 weeks. I dilated to a 5. They wouldn't stop me from delivering at that point. They said babies born after 34 weeks don't get stopped. 9 out of 10 babies born after 34 weeks do very well and usually don't even go to NICU. But if you think about it... 9 out of 10 babies do well born at 40 weeks too. There's always that one baby that needs a little bit of extra help. So from what I understand, that 34th week is a big milestone and as long as you make it that far, baby will most likely be fine!
