My baby girl has her 4 month old appointment this week. What are the chances that she will say yes to solid food? Anyone have a doctor that says 6 months only?

Stop this rice in the bottle stuff!!!! It's crazy stuff! People do it to force their babies sleep during the night all studies show it makes NO difference! Plus you are pretty much force feeding your baby. Why??!

My doctor, but our son showed soooo much interest while watching us eat that we gave him beginner food at 5 months and he loved loved it. There is nothing really wrong with 4 months it's just most babies are not ready their swallowing is not mature enough = babies mouthing food and making a mess because they are not swallowing it. When we gave it to our son at 5 months he ate it as if he knew what he was doing so I let him have some little during the week. Main concern is really WHAT to give: there is a chart which helps avoid high allergy foods and gluten. Don't give a baby grains when he is little or you will have one backed up baby!!!!! Who wants that!!!???

Our pediatrician told us it was ok to start rice cereal (we did oatmeal as rice cereal has zero nutritional value) and purees at 4 months.. after a few days we decided to stop purées and wait til she was 6 months to start table foods. She's 13 months now and eats everything under the sun, has since the day we started on table foods.
