jaundice peaks on the 4th day of life for newborns... both of my son's jaundice went away on it's own, but my daughter had to be in an incubator under the lights and on the bili-blanket... Like stated above, the more they eat and poop, the faster it flushes their system out... Natural sunlight for short amounts of time so they don't burn or overheat. They're skin is way more sensitive than ours is and they're still not able to regulate their body temperature very well.

My daughter had it for 3-4 weeks. The doctor said as long as her numbers don't get high or start to increase, it will go away on its own, she told me try to get some natural light and the more they pee n poop makes it go away faster
normal newborn jaundice will disappear within a week or mkre, mine was about two weeks before his levels went down. they were pretty high for a while
Jaundice starts from head to toe and disappears from toe to head. My son had to go under the lights after birth and he is still a little jaundice now at 2 months old due to breastmilk jaundice. Breastmilk jaundice goes away after roughly 3 months old. My son's face and eyes were the very last thing to go back to normal. It took about 6 weeks, but his bilirubin levels were always within normal after discharge from the hospital.
mine took two weeks for it to go away, but i think it only took that long because i was listening to doctors who were telling me that direct sunlight was bad for him. his levels kept going up & i was so sick of seeing his little foot getting pricked every other day that i stripped him down to his diaper and sat on the porch with him while i gave him a bottle. it was only for about 10-15 minutes max. the next day when they checked his levels they had gone down.
Pit her in front of the window. The sunshine will help. It took about 3 weeks before my sons skin and the white of his eyes weren't yellow.
She didnt have it in the hospital, it developed after we got home because i didnt even know she had it until her first dr appointment at 3 days old. and she stays in the sun as long as she possibly can all day and she eats and poops so much thats why im confused on why it hasn't went away. @housfullofgrls
My daughter had to spend an extra night in the hospital because hers was so bad. Keep baby in the sun and feed feed feed
