hi ladies my little man Is 5 weeks this Sunday.  I want to know throughout the night do you wake your child for feeds? my mum told me to wait till my lo cries no reason to disturb his sleep.

My boy who's a day younger than your babe had his feed at half 11 last night and didn't wake for a feed till 6 this morning and he's a greedy boy always wants his food. Hv have there rules and guidelines and have to stick to their 'script' I'd take it with a pinch of salt :) x

@emmaclark,  yea well last night he had 5 ounces them slept from 1 til 7 this morning. my midwife told me off when she came this morning n said I should wake him every 3 hours. tbh I ain't doing that lol.  his routine seems to be that he has 5 ounce before bed and then he'll wake up around 6am for feed sometimes earlier. I don't want to change it

I woke him every 4 hours for the first week or so, then I just let him sleep. at five weeks old ur baby will most likely wake if hungry so I agree with your mum xx
