I legit don't like people.

Before Ajani was born we lost everything in a house fire. EVERYTHING. We were insured. Big loss but not insurmountable.

A lot of our friends pitched in and gave us sooooo much stuff for the kids. Stores gave us gift cards. People showed up and showed out, even tho we didn't ask for things.

Today we met up with a woman to give her some stuff. MIND YOU THESE ARE BRAND NEW ITEMS. We had a ridiculous overflow, thank goodness our friends didn't mind us paying it forward. There was formula. Diaper bags. Clothes. A bunch of slipcovers and a Boppy. A little exersaucer. A pack and play & a Mamaroo.

...the items didn't match. Brand new, but sorta a mishmash of gender neutral stuff. STILL IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING. She accepted everything. (Because duh, free NEW high-end baby gear?!) but I got a text from her.

"I had hoped everything would match. For the nursery."

I didn't even respond.

😒 Lady, you barely have a place to lay your head. You live with your in laws and you don't work. You and baby will be in one room. So while I'm sorry I didn't have the posh nursery theme available to suit your tastes, I still did more for you than you can do for yourself at the moment.

Sorry so long. I'm legit upset, like my feelings are hurt. 😔 Can't be nice to people these days. Everything else, I'll just save or return.
