At what dilation do you get the epidural? Also if I have to have c-section do they give you more numbing stuff or not? I've made my mind up on getting the epidural, so I don't need a million comments on why I shouldn't do it.
@tuckerlee1016, my boys moved fast, when they checked me I wasn't that far but by the time the anesthesiologist got to my room, did the epidural and they checked me right after her left I was 9&10cm;
@tuckerlee1016, they will ask when you want it usually. So just talk to your doctor before hand or the nurses when you are in labor. They will tell you.
Oh wow!! My thing is I'd rather get it so I'm not worn out when it comes to pushing. I just didn't know if its your choice of when to get or the drs @hart.momma
I got it at 4 but because my body was under so my stress my doctor & hubby actually talked me into it to calm my body down. & after all our complications I'm so happy I got it, even though it wore off & I labored & delivered naturally for the last 4-5 or so hours naturally
