Not necessarily. I went in to be induced and hooked up to everything before they sent me home on feb 3rd (day before my due date) because I hadn't progressed any. Within 24 hours all that happened with me and I was 4 cm when I got to the hospital.

Unless it was your bloody show, or you're having consistent contractions its nothing to worry about. I lost mucus plug from 32 weeks until my due date where I had my bloody show and went into labor seconds later.
