Exactly! I pump and then give my baby a bottle. We go home from the hospital on Saturday after being in the NICU 2 weeks, once I get home I'm gonna start trying to start offering the breast first, I really need to up my supply to keep up with what he's eating. But I have no problem bottle feeding! And supplementing formula isn't the end of the world. Fed is best :) but if I can get my supply up and feed him breast milk exclusively then I'd much rather do that just because it's free!

Your baby is a lot younger than mine though darling! Breastfeeding can be frustrating for baby especially if you bottle fed first, because with a bottle they get instant gratification, on the breast it's a bit harder to get the milk to let down. That's what I was told because since my baby has been in the NICU, he's been bottle fed with pumped breast milk. But he eats more than I pump so I have to supplement with formula still. If you do end up having to go to formula though, there's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. But try to stick with breastfeeding for a little bit if you can, and talk to a lactation consultant. Since I've been staying in the hospital with my baby I've had the luxury of having daily access to a lactation consultant and I've learned so so much
